Unfortunately, they attend better, but if you want to work, don't take care of one of those places. That’s great, I’ll never answer again?
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Food was fresh & authentic. Clean restaurant, lots to look at inside. The jalapeno & cheese tamales were AMAZING!!! Gorditas were highly recommended by my family members that ordered them. Salsa could use more heat...but that's just personal preference. Very good place for a quick bite or an authentic meal. Parking is not so convenient, but I don't think they expected to have such a large customer base.
MoreThe lengua is amazingly delicious. Love the atmosphere, service is great, and food and drinks are fantastic.
MoreCame in today and the yucca fries were not fresh and tasted horrible. You can tell the rice is something they just reheat. Overall an IMMENSE let down for $40. Don't waste your money here, go to chipotle for better food and definitely better service..
MoreThe most authentic AND delicious Mexican food in the ENTIRE Tallahassee area. My one and only Mexican restaurant around. The drinks, the salsas, the desserts, the food, all so amazing and authentic.
MoreBest Mexican food in town, and great prices too.
First time here. Was busy, but got service pretty quick. They let me try one of the fruit drinks first, hibiscus, it was pretty nice. Got tacos, steak, carnitas, and longaniza, all excellent, especially the longaniza. I'll be back to this place for sure.
MoreTheir food is amazing and their margaritas are strong! They're super sweet, too. I ordered a half gallon but they didn't have any so they filled a gallon but it ended up being more than half. The whole time the girl was super apologetic but they were prompt and did an awesome job. Definitely the best Mexican food in town.
MoreStaff were really nice and can speak both Spanish and English with you, and the food was amazing!
MoreTried their beef tacos with dipping jus. Well done. Great, funky restaurant. Hard to get into but can park in the old Barnacle Bill's lot.
MoreFood very good but small. Ppl very nice but long waiting time.
Uh everything is made fresh and you can tell, why wouldn't you eat here!? Great food, authentic and delicious! The carne asada has great flavor and so does everything else! Highly recommend! Great service and great staff...go and see for yourself, you will be happy you Did!!
MoreFood and drinks are great and the price cannot get any better
everytime i come here im immediately greeted, the service is always the best, the food is always good good and its greatly priced :)
MoreThe place was open and open. It was friendly! The food was delicious and affordable. The portions were perfect and our kids had a section of the menu where they found appetizing options for their picky taste buds.
MoreAbsolutely wonderful food. Authentic Mexican food at a price that can't be beat. Service is a little slow but the food makes up for this a hundred fold. Beer is COLD and food is hot. Just like it should be.
MoreYummy food, and different from the guys up the road. This food is more traditional. I had a carne asada taco, the jalapeno & cheese tamale, and a sope with beans (this was my fave). Food was served with a trio of hot sauces in case you wanted a little spice. Service was great....and the assortment of unique candy treats as you pay your beyond reasonable bill, are so much fun! Give it a try, you'll like it!
MoreThe food was good but the service not so good , we were the first to come in and the fourth ones to be served. They seem to cater to upper society. Very disappointed in that . All money has the same value , unfortunately they might not know that.
MoreI called my order in 30 min before hand got there and it still wasn’t done. I had no problem waiting because the food is good but the guy at the front instead of him giving me my food and letting me go on my way after waiting 15 extra minutes for my food that was already done, he asked me to step to the side so he could count his tips... will never go back!!!!
MoreLoved the food. Definitely will return for some more green tamales! Friendly staff and great atmosphere...😋😍
MoreBest Mexican food in tally! I love the tacos, fajitas, guacamole, and specials. They have great vegetarian options. I would also recommend the tamarind juice!
MorePlaced an order online, at 2:54. Realized that they were preparing it immediately i called and let them know that the order was not to be ready until 5:45. Showed up at 5:50 expecting to have my order, was told it would be 5 minutes which is no big deal, I’ve worked in customer service and completely understand. It’s been over 40 minutes and I’m still waiting. No one has any explanation on what happened. I’ve watched at least 4-5 people order, eat, and leave. Update. Just now received my food at 6:50. Unsatisfied is an understatement. Will never be back.
MoreLove the hibiscus tacos! This is one of Tally's hidden gems.
I'm only giving 2 stars to this review because the staff was pleasant. The food took well over an hour to reach our table. The party that I was with felt awkward about the situation as well but tried to make the best of it, hoping it would get better. I ordered the Carne Asada, which are strips of roasted steak, with rice and beans. Half of my plate consisted of tasteless refried beans, with the remaining being a few strips of unseasoned steak with only a few small pieces of sauteed onions, no rice. The only food slightly hot was the tortillas, which arrived several minutes later after I asked about them. By then, it was time to leave soon after. It was NOT a positive or impressive experience.
MoreNice little place one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants I've been to outside of California and Texas. The meat and rice was delicious as well as the fresh house guacamole. The flan was good, a little dense, but I think this is the restaurant's style. Overall a nice fine, will definitely come back again. So far best Mexican food I've had since moving to Tallahassee.
MoreThis is a place you can trust! Solid institution in town, and family owned! Large selection of delicious tacos both standard and unconventional meats (beef tongue and tripe included!). House guacamole and margaritas for the win!
MoreThe homemade salsa is wonderfully dark and tasty. The fajitas, carrots asada and one other dish with queso were wonderful. I really like the formed rice cakes with the meal. Generous servings and very attentive staff. A friend from Uruguay took me here and I will make it a regular stop. Intimate, maybe 6 booths, 6 4-tops and three tables for six. Well lit and pleasant.
MoreThe place is amazing! The Taco Birria is a MUST TRY! Everything was fresh and flavorful. I'll be back to try more of their dishes!
MoreThis place was excellent. Atmosphere, food, friendly. I'll go back.
Good authentic Mexican food. Nice atmoshpere. Service was good. The portions are generous. Great place to eat! The parking is a little tricky, so check maps carefully to determine where you want to park.
MoreQuaint little place. Nothing fancy, but the staff and the food are both authentic. My party of four loved everything we ordered.
MoreThe most real deal Mexican in Tally. Great service and an interesting menu make the place. I went there to try something new and was pleasantly surprised. The carne asada is good and the al pastor tasty. I will give it another try and drill a little further into the menu.
MoreCasual place with great food. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I had been there several times and I have not been disappointed. I usually have the tacos and most recently had their Tacos de Birria, which is available depending on the day, so check for daily specials. The parking lot up front is on the small side, so it's probably easier just to park in the lower lot next to the building.
MoreAmazing food, amazing customer service.I love the atmosphere and I’ve found it to be the most authentic Mexican restaurant in tallahassee. The tacos are phenomenal and rightly priced. I love their steak option on Friday’s.
MoreThis was a delightful experience for me and my friends. The food was delicious and very authentic. The prices are extremely reasonable and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food came very quickly and was hot and beautifully prepared. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to quickly and thoroughly answer our questions. The decor is authentic and casual. Loved it!
MoreFood is always good and the service as well. Owned by a family and that home-y vibe permeates the restaurant. Excellent deserts as well.
MoreIdk what it took us so long to try this place but its good. Cant wait to go back.
MoreI never ever leave reviews but If I could give 0 stars I would. We were charged $4 more for an adult meal when it was the same size as our child’s meal. The food was cold when we received it, and tasted bad. To top it off manager was rude on the phone when we called and asked why the meals were the same size and told us this was “normal”. Highly disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend!
MoreThis is a hole in the wall place that does not disappoint. Everything about this place is authentic, nothing too fancy or flashy - just delicious genuine Mexican dishes. It is a divey place that serves comfort Mexican food at a more than reasonable price. The tamales are a must at La Tiendita. The only downfall is that the service is slow. Check them out! - Ansel Ponce Diama
MoreTacos were good. Had a mix: al pastor, carne asada, a sausage (longaniza), Cabeza (cow cheek), and lengua (beef tongue). It was my second time trying tongue. And was better than the first time. The consistancy is spongy, but the flavors are good. The cheek taco was the best. Like steak, but more intense flavor. 👍
MoreExcellent food, made to my liking. Beautiful settings and really nice owners
loved the Vibe, location y todo. With that said, I did not enjoy the food much, and they use canned vegetables for the rice. I have very high standards for Mexican food, and this place, although adorable, just did not do it for me. But the salsa was amazing!
MoreTasty traditional food in a very cozy environment. Fast and good service
The food is incredibly good. It takes like what I imaginw other Mexican restaurants aspire to make. Parking in front of the restaurant is difficult to both find and leave. If recommend parking at the Barnacle Bill's next door. Unfortunately, the portions of the food, compared to the price, don't quite do it for me.
MoreTop notch mole sauce. Awesome.
I like this little and cozy Mexican restaurant. The food and staff are nice and the food is very good! I wish they don’t change any thing about it! Picture taken on a Friday night and it is usually very busy.
MoreDelicious, fresh variety of dishes and desserts. I could even see and taste the yummy seasoned, shredded chicken in my enchiladas -- not like the mushed up stuff one can get other places. The restaurant is spotless, charmingly decorated, and playing lovely pleasant background music. The flan and trés leches were terrific. Service was excellent.
MoreAmazing amazing amazing! Atmosphere is so welcoming, food and drinks were delicious! Gonzalo was patient, kind and diligent! We had a horrible day today, but this visit made our day so much better! La Tiendita definitely exceeded our expectation! We were a big party of 14, made a last minute reservation and they were very accommodating. The owner came and checked on us and because we had such a big order and waited a bit for it, the owner gave us a few appetizers for the table. I would give this place more than 5 stars if I could.
MoreGood food with some dishes you can't find in most regular Mexican restaurants. Worth the trip
MoreIt's a small Mexican restaurant and the food is good. But the parking lot is small so you're better off parking next door and taking the stairs up.
MoreGood tacos. DF type very good Horchata drink. Salsa the best!
